last night was spent at little india with the canoe girls for yash's & youjia's birthday. we headed to tcc after our very vegetarian meal. twas quite nice catching up. well, it's always nice.

then i met synyi today. that girl has been too busy to shop ! but i dont think she missed much really. the zara sale was terrible. it was damn messy & crowded. and everything was thrown all over the place. yucks. i think i prefer fleas more. i shall go to more fleas next time !

i have a deuter bag for my KL trip. so i wont be an easy target for pickpockets and what nots. also, no fancy clothes for us. we dont want to be targets of robbers... and what nots !

the birthday celebration was spent at serangoon gardens. treated him thai food at stickyrice. nothing fancy, because i am not too rich myself. then we headed to the nearby park. where i was delighted to see swings. modern playgrounds dont have swings or sand anymore. lamentable aye.... they have the bouncy things to lay the playground, but i still prefer sand. and i like swings even more. i used to be able to swing quite high ! but now my heavy body cannot do so no more.

and then we trekked back to the restaurant because haynes left my birthday card there. -_- but we headed for some post-dinner drink at this dessert place nearby where they have cool blue fluorescent tables.

sooo it was dandy evening, i liked it very much. :)

i need to get my laptop reformatted. and my zen is starting to really annoy me. i bought new headphones thinking that the perennial sound problem would be solved with new headphones. but noo. clearly there is something wrong with the contact ! so i have to continue to hold my headphones in a particular position to hear any sound. i just reformatted the zen too. and i decided to only transfer the songs that i really like back to it. and it came to a grand total of... 42. out of the 400+i had previously. i was listening to a whole load of rubbish - very very expired pop i have in my player. boo.

should i major in quantitative finance??? but if i do, i cant do exchange. and i went for the exchange talk yday... and i so wanna do exchange. it's really exciting ! i get to do interesting art electives like anthropology of food or comparative foreign policy or some harry potter nonsense. and most importantly, i get to travel.

on the other hand, quantitative finance sounds supremely interesting and intellectually stimulating. except there are too many compulsory modules to complete, so i cant really go on exchange. and it's mighty difficult too.

howwwww.i have to decide sooon. :(

time & time again

pictures from quite a long time ago. elena just transferred me a whole chunk of pictures. haha. and we're headed to kuala lumpur soon ! i am quite excited !

so yesterday they came over to my house and it was a few solid hours of watching sex& the city. now my friends are hooked. mud&mindy went off with my season 3 & 4. and my seasons 1 & 2 are missing !!

and today is father's day, so i bought a cake. then i rented pursuit of happiness and we all watched it together. i really wasnt expecting my parents to watch the movie because they are into hollywood blockbusters. no, actually b-grade hollywood movies. the catastrophic kind. the bigger the catastrophe, the better. so it was quite surprising that they sat through the whole movie. but pursuit of happiness was really nice and heartwarming. thandie newton is pretty but waaay too skinny.

i had weenamkee chicken rice with haynes for dinner today. and visited novena square for the first time after its revamp. twas some good chicken rice.

okay ! off to watch tv now !

my mom just signed me up proper for yoga ! so i am going to lead a healthy lifestyle from now on. nothing much's been up lately, except i've been watching alot of movies ! but it's okay, i like to watch movies. except they can drain me of much needed money. ocean's 13 was stylish and pleasurable as always while fantastic four was just alright. it didnt suck but it wasnt brilliant. silver surfer is cool.

and i took my long overdue visit to the dentist today. dr lee said my retainers were icky. i agree. haha.

my computer is going bonkers. after that stupid virus attack, many other viruses are surfacing. i get annoying popups all over and it is running really slowly now.

other than that, i feel quite blissful these days. :)

this little light of mine,

yummmmmm. i just satisfied a very very sudden and intense craving for good ice cream in the middle of the night. even though i've brushed my teeth and everything. thank goodness i still have some of b&j's cherry garcia left ! i know alot of pple hate cherry garcia, but i like it alot. people who dont like it have....abnormal tastebuds.

so, black snake moan today was good ! i like. the posters make it look like some really twisted and warped show, but it's really not. it's quite.. heartening actually if you look beyond the chains and her tendencies. and the last part about justin timberlake and ricci was all the more sweet because of each other's imperfections.

oh my dad has agreed to pay for my yoga lessons ! my mom, sister and i went for a dance class yesterday. and it's one of those dance classes where you're supposed to lose your inhibitions and swivel your hips around seductively. haha. except i couldnt stop laughing at my mom who was always facing the opposite direction from everybody else. but then, she accused me of being stiff. -_-

now that i have watched a nice movie after a whole spate of not so good ones, and satisfied my ice cream craving, i feel very dandy indeed !

bellydancer.

that's what i tried to be this morning by going for bellydancing class. omg, it was horrifying. i have never shaked my ass/hips or whatever so vigorously for one hour before. and i felt quite ridiculous so i was trying not to laugh most of the time. but bellydancing is quite a good cardio workout. i was drenched in sweat by the end of the class and i stupidly didnt bring my towel because i thought it was going to be silly. actually it's quite silly, but a tiring kind of silly i suppose. i think i shall stick to yoga. unless i have unlimited lessons next time again.

okay and i did another stupid thing last night. by clicking on some stupid link my friend sent and getting a trojan in my computer. very dumb of me. so i inadvertently sent the link to everybody online on my msn list, and had 10 million msn windows with people whom i have never talk to online in my life asking me what's going on in five minutes. i used to have random people send me links out of the blue and i would think: hai, virus. not very smart of them to anyhow open links. now, i am one of the not very smart people. glenda & yonghui got it from me. and actually, when i think of how we were panicking last night, the situation was quite very funny indeed.

i am soooooooo tired. my body parts havent been exercised to this extent in a very very long while.

haha. anyway for all those who have called me a bum, among many other lazy names. you all can take back your words now, because i went for yoga twith haynes today ! it's quite tiring okay, and i was trembling like a leaf in one particular position that required quite alot of abdominal muscles. haha.

i paid $20 for a week so i'm going to go for lessons like mad for a week. after which, i shall hope fervently that my parents will pay for lessons for a year. i'm going for belly-dancing class tomorrow !! hahaha. i hope the class is big so i can hide in a corner and belly dance. haha.

met up with jaya at timbre last night. she brought her cornell friend who brought a upenn friend. so i was surrounded by a bunch of those overseas scholars last night, except among the three, two broke their bonds. hurhur. timbre really has quite a nice atmosphere, and it's funny i dont go there even though it's right across my school.

but anyway, it was nice meeting up. i am also reaaaalllyy poor now, it's not even funny. i do have some very little money in my account but it's mainly for driving. and i submitted my timesheet late. so i wont even get my pathetic hundred dollar pay till the month after. i should try to stay at home and eat maggimee more.

oh yes, i need to fundraise for my cip project ! so friends, please be kind and buy very pretty tealights and christmas ornaments handmade by the villagers !
