and we travelled all the way to pasir ris to discover that wild wild wet is closed! and so is escape! and so is every damn canoe/cycling/eatery along pasir ris. there's somthing about tuesdays. everybody's off on tuesdays. of all days!
but alas, we found a one nasi lemak shop where we had lunch. and frolicked along the beach. andi skipped stones for the first time in my life! never knew how to.
and we headed to town. and blew alot of money for his birthday.

okay, honestly, blobby is very perturbed by the new environment. he keeps swimming in circles and banging his head against the tank. i'm very scared it'll die of shock.

anway, today was my last day at my office.

it was really nice, because i got a farewell card, hallmark, no less, and a lunch treat at bakerzin. and they made me pick dessert too. so i had some hot chocolate and vanilla ice cream thing, on top of salmon linguine. but, my throat died.
plus hr gave me a strawberry tart from bakerzin! with a pretty note on it. and christine gave me eye shadow from her trip to newyork. and i'm not even close to these people! so it was quite a lovely day indeed.

hmm, as much as i hate packing worksheets and running stupid errands. i think will miss the people at tll, somewhat. they're all really nice colleagues.

okay, meanwhile i shall relish in bum-dom! hah. tmr, i shall go to wildwild wet in celebration of something big! =)

and lets hope blobby doesnt commit suicide or get fungus infection or smt.

second last day at work today! of course i'm absolutely thrilled by the thought of bumming for the next month or so. but i guess i will miss people at the office. it was my last day seeing victoria and gwm. and those two are my favourite people at work. and bt, with her idiosyncracies but wonderful music collection. gwm, really nice and genuine and of course, victoria with her extremely laughable antics and quirky charm.

sigh i'm awfully sentimental.

and so i met the glendalee today. went to the lime flea market, just for the sake of going to a flea market. haha , we havent been to flea markets before, neither have we been to a celebrity concert before! how terribly cool. and we ended up with cheap stitch earring studs. hoho. and then it was a desperate hunt for food because saturday evening crowds are really quite gross. after that was shopping with a purpose.

ooh. should i get grey's dvds?? or should i just rent it from video ezy.

hmm a new intern is coming in on monday. she's supposed to be really hot and look like jessica alba.

oh and for once, i'm rather glad i took fmath. because i am exempted from calculus ! hah. i totally deserve it loh. and i was looking at smu's curriculum and university core sounds really daft and a complete waste of time. analytical skills & creative thinking. ethics and social responsiblity. silly. you cant teach social responsibility or creativity, u either have it or you dont. and i dont.

tomorrow is sit and bum day. i shall send ucas the reply form that i'm not going to uk. or people will continue sending me cheap uk laptop deals and ask me to go for cooking demonstrations. applying overseas was a waste of precious money. :(

i am in a rather foul mood right now. my plans have gone completely awry. i have to sell my concert ticket for tomorrow. and i cant get alot of things done. because of my stupid schedule. so i forsee having to go all the way to town by myself on sunday, and back, when i'm supposed to be bumming at home, dyeing my hair and packing my stuff.

been busy with daft experiments this week. lava lamps cracking, braving the pungent gas to clean up the classrooms. packing food stuff for iodine testing. making ice cream. which was, quite surprisingly successful with victoria's whipping.

in short, i've been on my feet the whole day, in pointy pumps. so i really wasnt very pleased at the end of the day. my feet was aching, i was giddy with exhaustion, so i had to treat myself to b&j's! had to, really. newyork super chunk fudge.

i want to watch the devil wears prada! i quite like meryl streep, and she's so anna wintour in the trailers. haha. and just my luck. because i like lindsay lohan, even though some people think she's a tramp. i think she's really pretty.

oh i adopted a fighting fish. it's name is blobby.

monday's a slow day.
especially so with bloodshot eyes, swollen left eyelid. and general fatigue.
last night was dreadful, depressing at best. even with promises of joma biscuits from laos.

hello, i am beyond bored. there is nothign for me to do, and absolutely nobody to talk to online. everybody is partaying the saturday away while i sit at home and feel bloated and disgusting.

i loathe getting periods! the cramps and everything. it saps your energy. and you feel really disgusted by yourself. periods and cramps are evil!

oh yes, i unwittingly got ndp preview tickets. havent quite decided what to do with it. but i guess it would be nice to watch it with the boyfriend. one last birthday celebration for the country before he leaves this island forever. how dramatic. haha.

and my computer is old and crummy. i tried to download widgets because i was getting seriously bored. but my computer doesnt support them! i cant wait to get a spankin' new laptop.

and i think i've said this before, but i shall say it again. i am still stuck in puberty. my pimples are having a rather good time popping up all over my face. everybody's having a fine glowing complexion but me. how awful.

kite runner is really nice book. it was so gripping i finished it in two days. i decided to go read something since i havent done anything constructive this holiday. and i had to pay 5 bucks to replace my libary card. they deactivated my ezlink and ic, because i lost it the other time.

then i also borrowed in the wee small hours by gil mcneil. one of those pink coloured books. and another with an extremely quirky title. the taxonomy of barnacles. i have no idea what it's about but the cover looks really quirky!

bought a few stuff online lately. but i'm taking forever to receive the goods. there's no instant validation!!

oh yes, and the world cup is here. and my boyfriend's eyes are glued to the tv from 9pm. but some of the soccer players are rather good looking, although i dont know their names. some are downright ugly. like the englishman wayne rooney. i dont care if he can play soccer, he is damn ugly!!!

oh yes. i really want a lomo. :(

omg. i feel like i'm in a completely different country in the office. it's freeeeezing!

i'm wearing glasses today. just to reassure my mom that i wont go blind. i abhor wearing glasses out. because i feel oily and dirty and sleepy. maybe it 's just psychological vanity. haha.

and i watched a little of the world cup last night! the opening match. but i grew quite sleepy after the first half so i went to bed. so germany won 4-2. oh good for them, but it's always nice to see underdogs beating favourites.

cars, the movie is very very cute.i really liked it. pixar always produces some of the nicer cartoon movies. chicken little was atrocious though. it was like, a show for extremely brainless kids. was that under pixar??i sure hope not.

haiyahhh. i feel like asking my parents to drive into malaysia someday. because i want to get grey's dvds. speaking of series-es, desperate housewives is getting rather boring. and teri hatcher is very ugly. she looks terribly sunken, and emaciated.

so we all trooped down to arab street last night. and arab street is really interesting at night! there are many people just sitting around smoking their sheesha. i realized it's sheesha not shisha.
and the food at cafe le caire is really quite good! hoho. and rather cheap. i had lamb kebab! and i drank hibiscus juice. and they have all sorts of exotic teas. and i like tea, in general.
i wanna visit dubai or beirut. hee. then i can indulge in middle eastern fare all dayy.
am really tired. slept at about two. and i was rudely awoken at 6. pffpht.

anyway. planning for the taiwan trip. doing it solo because my dear friend is too busy with laos. haha.
and i cant read chinese on taiwanese sites! because they are in the older form of chinese! which is really annoying because i have to scrutinize every character and try to figure out what it is. takes alot of effort. everybody should just standardize their chinese and follow china because that's where billions of chinese reside. but of course, the taiwanese dont like the mainland chinese. heh.

so i decided, i shall just go to borders and read lonely planet. at least i can understand things better.

office people are rather nice. there's a farewell dinner for us come thursday. along the arab street cafe where people sit around and smoke shisha pipes. hoho.
i'm having a massive breakout on my face. it's like puberty all over again. except i'm not growing.
and the thought of going to smu is terribly depressing. smu is the school for displaced rj people. and i would really hate for school to start again. especially, school at a place like that. i do also realize that there are people worse off than me. people who cant go to unis etc. but it's just incredibly dreadful going to a place of your last choice.
